We had a very sunny week here in Belgium. The weather was marvelous. All the people were working in their garden. Every one was outside. And the culture of "doing a terras" started again. When the sun is shining, many people are going for a drink in a tavern and sitting and talking outside in the sun.

Yesterday I had a visit. The Prior from the Catholoic Norbertijnen-abbey came to me to take a look at the peace of wood I'm working on. He was very glad with the result and was already thinking on a nice place in the abbey to show it to the visitors. He told me that there was an Norbertijnen Abbey in Wisconsin at the other side of the lake in Green Bay. Maybe I'm gonna visit it some day.

I just finished Mariekes room. We renewed it. Hopely she will keep it clean and nice. You never know it with a stormwind like Marieke.

it was a bizzy day today.

Cleaning up the garden and the house for newyear.

I had a real nice week. After all the sorrows and the pain about Andrews health and the hard work and stress for the christmas nightservice, this week of vacation was more than welcome.

We went to bed lately(with music and candles)slept until 9h30 in the morning, slowly breakfast and it was allmost noon when we started the day.

On christmas morning; Marcel and I went horse ridng again. It's always good to enjoy the simple things of live and being in the nature. We prayed together on our horses.

This week I also had time to work on a statue. Actually it is a creation of the nature self. A beatifull peace of wood(coming from an old abbey) from an old tree within all kinds of curves and wounds from the weather. In the near future, I'll show you a picture of it. It is good to be creative , it's good for the soul.....I think.

While I'm bizzy with these thing, all kinds of prayings and praisesongs are coming in my head. He is on my side...My Lord and Friend. Guess I' m gonna put some words from the bible on that wood to honor my Lord.

Tomorrow evening I must go to work. We are going to a little farm somewhere in the fields of Lummen. They call it the "theepot". Some old hippies(Ivo and Dina) are running a little theehouse there. We're welcome there with our handicap people for a meal. Marleen is going with me. It will be good, away  from the world being together on an warm woodstove.....wish I could take you all with me....

Oh thank you Aslansdaughter for the pictures...my willy'sdaughter always forget..

God bless you all....If Bush may say that ... I may too

Love you all.

Sorry for all the languagefaults.

Willy

hey everybody,

Here I am. Willy wortel. You know what that means? Willy The Carrot. Sometimes I used this name on a painting or a statue.

Yesterday Marcel and I made a ride on our horses. There was a lot of rain and a strong wind but it was all right for us,we enjoyed it.(fools as we are).

We talked about the most important things in christianity.

Christians are talking so much about others or other things and they forget that God has a plan for themselves.

Once there will be a day that God puts all our words and works into a fire.   What will survive the fire? In other words what is real important in life?

We talked about losing ourself  and to give Christ the chance to grow in and through us. We're often thinking that christians needs t organize all kinds of things. Wrong!!!! We've got to loose and to forget our ego. Than we will find the way to real freedom.

OK enough preaching now.

Is there anyone interested in the relationship between me an my ownwise daughter?

Listen to Paul Simons song about a father and his daughter. He wrote this song specially for me.

Willy
